Can anyone recommend a reputable horse insurance? ideally reasonable premiums but pay up quickly too? My current insurer has always been very good on the later, but my premiums have increased over £10 per month with renewal. PM me if nec. Many thanks

I like and have used PetPlan and NFU. Never had any problems with payments or service.

ETA just re-read and your premiums have possibly increased because you have claimed (going by your "quick to pay out" statement). Therefore if you change to a new insurer or get quotes you still have to declare everything you've claimed for and any "issues" your horse may have and this will be reflected in the premiums.

hi i recommend AIMS , their premiums remain low as they don't have a website . i claimed in December last year and they were fab !! my friend is also with them and they paid out on her horse that had kissing spine - so very highly recommended. give them a call.

with Petplan they dont put your premium up if you claim but are exspensive, offer cover for illness and injury till 25yrs

Have you tried to change or amend the policy to see if the price can be brought down??

companies that are good IMO are
petplan
Nfu
Amtrust

Another vote for AIMS- they were taken over by SEIB earlier this year but my renewal was still £££ cheaper than NFU etc. They paid out very quickly for my old cobs ringbone diagnosis/treatment too

NFU, I had to claim pretty much within the first month of having his lordship, (this was 5 years ago) they paid up, they did send a form later asking what was what which I passed onto the vet to fill in, never heard anything after that.
