Recommendations please! (will need a good beginners trek as OH isn't a rider)

When we went to Ilfracombe on holiday in 2000, we went on a hack with these: http://www.mullacott.co.uk/
They are not far at all from Woolacombe.

My husband who was terrified of horses and who does not ride, was put on a gentle ploddy shire and was led but I was aloud to go off with some of the other guides for a nice canter. It was a nice ride!

When I went to Woolacombe on holiday in 2003 or 2004 (forget when), I rode here:

Also a nice ride

Also recomend mullacott! my friend rides there, they go on nice long hacks along the beach and the more experienced go for a good gallop. The horses are all lovely, some plods, some faster horses

Oooh, am very interested in this also - going for a weekend in Woolacombe in June and had already checked out the beach riding from Mullacott stables

Ahhh yeah I was on Mullacott website last night but I couldn't find any info re: beginners rides!

May give them a call and book up then

If you want a seaside ride then Woolacombe or Roylands at Croyde would be better than Mullacott.
I rode for years at Woolacombe and they have some lovely horses.

Ohhh wicked, I like the sound of the hour ride that splits into 2 (so I can have a canter

)

Might ring up them for prices as well, thanks

woolacombe riding stables I'd go for, daughter had a few lessons there. Lovely beach for galloping on.

We are only 9 miles from there, and I still haven't made it for a beach ride yet
