Can anyone recommend someone to vet a lorry Southport?

Friend at yard has seen a 3.5 tonne Leyland Daf she has tried and wants to buy, but said the gear box does not feel right, and wants it checking before she gives a deposit.

My mechanic is laid up with a bad back, can anyone give me any numbers/reccommend anyone?
