As title really. I have a Grey horse who had an unfortunate argument with needlessly aggressive farrier who decided to 'teach him a lesson'. many months on after changing farriers (of course) having to have vet to sedate him several times he is now ok with sedalin and if everyone stays calm. I am using current farrier because he is calm and was willing to take on the job. But in otherways I have some issues with the shoeing Inc it's very expensive, he won't discuss it, horse looses a lot of shoes, I am being charged high call out fee when farrier does the whole yard (suspect he has deal with YO and I am paying call out for the whole job lot) - so thought I would at least look around so does anyone know a calm kind and skilled farrier in shipston upon stour area? Ideally not too expensive ... Don't want much do I? (wink!)

Pete Balchin. Very much in demand though.
Good luck, Ive been in the same boat as you a few years back.
ETA: i may have spelt his surname wrong, sorry!

I know you are looking for recommendations, but if you go to the farrier registration counsel website there is a find a farrier app were you can type in your post code and get a list of all the farriers around you :-)

Does Ben Benson go out that far? He is very good.
