Can anyone recommend a vet who will work north of York for five stage vetting on potential new horse please?

Thank you!

*is getting excited*

How far North of York? That's quite a bit of country!

Thank you!

She was mentioned as being for sale on here, my daughter and I went to see her shown to us by a very kind forum member and we've decided that she's the girl for us!

Will contact the vets.

ooo - now I'm speculating, and guessing wildly here (putting 2 and 2 and getting 9?)
Blackhawk - is the horse for sale F's Mare?

*waves frantically at blackhawk* Thank you!

Yup arwen, you're right to be jealous, F's mare seems great!

She's for my daughter who's a damned lucky girl. Mind you we only got her into riding after a fatal accident in which she and her father were involved. It was a way for her to regain her courage by realising that she could control herself and the situation. She was a poor little mite for a year after the accident, couldn't bear to go to friends after school or stay over when she'd previously been totally happy. Couldn't even cope with being picked up from school by the people we'd lift shared with since she started. School work suffered terribly too. She still gets very panicky in cars on occasion.

But getting to know the horses and then having her own pony who was more frightened of life than she was has brought her out of her shell. She still finds her peers a bit difficult sometimes but has been out competing against adults and knows that any "oddness" perceived by her peers is treated as a virtue by the adults.

We're hoping the mare will carry on the good work of giving her "someone special" to talk to, companionship, plenty of exercise and a confident ride in more advanced competitions.
