Feeling a bit fed up this evening as Brooklyn has been diagnosed with thoroughpin - just when we had booked an XC lesson for the weekend & had couple of events / hunter trials lined up.

Have no experience of this so hope it isn't something too serious.

Then went in tack room and found that one of my saddles has been stolen. Am kicking myself, it was B's old saddle which I have been meaning to sell - just thought last weekend how I should get round to cleaning it & taking it to local saddlery - that'll teach me to get myself organised.

So am feeling a bit sorry for myself, apologies for depressing post.

Mahoosive hug coming your way, what a sh**y day for you!
It's horrible when you get something pinched, that awful realisation some low life scum has taken advantage or your trust is dreadful.
Thoroughpins often cause no problems once they settle down.
Not sure of any treatment I'm afraid but possibly laser may help?

Aww sorry to hear you're down - bug hugs and keep smiling, really believe in the saying what goes round comes round, so however took your saddle will get their comupense!! Keep smiling don't let it get to you, finger crossed for you with the thoroughpin no experience of that so can't advise. Soz

Hopefully the thorougpin will not be too much of a problem, swelling isn't too bad & hopefully will only take a few weeks of walk work. It's just bad timing when he was starting to get the hang of XC!

Also the saddle is a Barnsby & has an ID number on it - though can't find where I wrote it down aaarghhh ! Hopefully my saddler will have a record of it as well. So if it ever did get recovered by the police (yeah right) I may be able to reclaim it.

There are some lowlife scum out there. (((hugs))) to you and hope things will be ok with your horse. Sorry, don't know anything about thoroughpins, but keep your chin up - I'm sure things will get better.

Ah bless....having had tack stolen I know how you feel as for the throughpin they may drain of any synovical fluid and might put corticosteriods in as they did my friends horse after ex-rays,is there any lameness showing at the mo?Hope it works out for you,and sending a hug, can't make it better, but,at least it might help.

Yup, he's lame, seems better than earlier this week but still only up to walking for a few weeks. Ah well nothing I can do I suppose.
