Can anyone suggest a bit for my girl?

I currently ride her in a french link snaffle with a flash noseband for almost everything.
As she has become more keen on jumping she has now started pulling, I do school her quite a bit over fences to correct this problem, even pulling up (not literally pulling) before fences using my seat so she is responsive and listening.
But i find in a competition environment I can't do this so was wondering about putting a sightly stronger bit in, I tried a 3 ring gag which made her put her head down to much, I tried a tom thumb which i think was too strong is there something else I could try.
She has a very soft gentle mouth and probably needs something with links in otherwise she will lean.
All suggestions welcome x

Try a waterford??
I have found they work well with over-enthusiastic horses with nice mouths and manners, and they're often recommended for horses that tend to lean.
Like any bit, only as good as the hands attached... given she understands your leg/weight aids, it might work well for you?
There's several cheek options to suit your needs.

Thanks vhf, I haven't tried a waterford, the problem is there are so many bits out there and i dont know where to start.
I do have quiet hands so to speak so hopefully it'll suit.
I'd rather take a gentle pull in a slightly stronger bit than a heavier pull in a mild bit if you know what i mean

I have a horse that does exactly the same. I changed her to a Neue Scule hanging cheek snaffle and she is now a changed horse. It applys a bit of pressure to the poll but not as much as a dutch gag and they dont lean on it as much. Its still a snaffle so not harsh on her mouth. They are a bit expensive at around £60 but it has changed my horse so well worth it. She now comes into the jump calm and not pulling my arms out!

Hi, DressageDivaQT. Welcome to the forum.
Thanks for the tip.
To be honest looking at what you can pay £60 seems quite cheap if it solves the pulling problem. I'd like to keep her in a snaffle type bit as this seems to be what she is most happy in.

It has completeley changed my horse. I thought i would never find anything that would give me brakes without being harsh. I am feeling like i want to become a spokesperson for them it so good! i got mine from ebay but you can get them directly from them they ahve a website. The bit is quite narrow at 16mm but my girl has a large mouth but she actually prefers this narrower bit than the one i had before which was quite chunky.

I know what you mean! My current girl is the first horse in 20+ years that wasn't happy in a french link, so I've done a lot of reading-up. I knew things had "moved on" but was amazed at the choices...
She now dressages in a Neu Schule verbindend and jumps in a D-ring waterford. We tried flexi-mouths, hanging cheeks, single joints, lozenges...
If they were cheaper, she'd have a NS waterford because I am so impressed with the verbindend, but as it is she's stuck with a cheap one I picked up in a sale. Incidentally, she hacks in a scrawbrig bitless and loves it, so it's not that she's overly strong, just very particular! I think it is just a woman thing, she knows what she wants...
