can anyone suggest a suitable muzle?

...As above. I've never had to use one before. Are these plastic ones comfy for the dog, as they don't look it?!

My Am Bulldog x Boxer (ish) has started attacking other dogs when being taken out of the van by my dog walker. She's a rescue & we have no history on her. Once she's away on her walk (on the lead, always) she's fine it just seems to be the initial coming out of her cage in the van with the other dogs that upsets her. I understand the problem itself needs to be worked on, but as I'm not in the position to take her out myself durin weekday afternoons I need to ensure she's safe to be around other dogs.

So, do muzles come in different types? All I can seem to find are these plastic type ones. What sort of size would she need as she seems to have the biggest floppiest mouth in the world - Are their certain ways to measure them? & How can I ensure she doesnt get it off?!

If she is american bulldog she needs a bulldog muzzle because the rest will just slip over her head. I've seen it happen so many times, they have a strange shaped head.

My pit currently has to wear one when we are out because of the legal issues his rescuers are going through with the old owners and he seems very comfortable in it. Can't wait to have it off though as he doesn't need it!

well thank you, i appreciate all the advice! I guess everyone's reactions will be to run a mile when they see her in a muzzle

My GSD has to wear a muzzle and he has one of the fawny coloured plastic 'cage' type ones and seems quite happy to wear it.

We tried one of the fabric open fronted ones, but that kept his mouth shut and we felt it restricted his breathing when running along - whereas with the 'cage' one he can open his mouth to pant.
