Can anyones horses smell spring???

As the title really! Trying to figure out why jack has suddenly turned into a spooky monster ( can be spooky a lot of the time) got on today and his back was that far up I thought he was going to ping me off!! He's on horse first calmer topspec cool balancer and Alfa which is a recent addition but I can't see it being the feed???
 
Unfortunately yes - 3 of them came in tonight like they were on speed and then wanted to go straight back out again. It was quite windy too which didn't help.
 
Yep, my 3 field kept mares are all a bit snorty eye popping! :D
My elderly girl has a spring in her step, my little one is like a cat on a hot tin roof and the filly is plain old barmy! A sure sign that spring is on its way!!! :)
 
Yup. Came off mine on Saturday for the first time in the 2yrs that I've owned him. He certainly felt "well".

Unfortunately due to that I am now not so well and will be out for a few weeks!
 
No but I want foalie too as she looks like a patchwork quilt at the moment and i cannot wait until spring so she can get a tidy up for the showing season! Never been so excited at the thought of a couple of hours with a pair of scissors in my hand!
 
Yep, fergs has been springy, pingy and spooky since Sunday :eek: J's got a spring in his step and Daemon's gone psycho-horse. This morning he took out the bottom stand of my electric fence with his nose :mad:

It was stunning to watch: "leap, launch, startle, buck, turn, two strides of elevated canter, launch into air, land on nose, skid on nose into fencing :cool: stand up and pretend nobody saw" :cool:
 
Oh yes, my girls been at it for weeks, snorting and spooking at everything. Others on the yard have also got "spring" in their steps. Oddly today though she was as quiet as a mouse and even went and stuck her head in a wheelie bin and squeezed her generous frame between two trailers. Just when I think I've worked her out she goes and surprises me!
 
Yes, most definately - got dragged along the floor the other day! And riding has been spookier than normal! Fun fun! lol!
