I mean the snowballs, not Henry generally. 😆 There's nothing to be done about Henry generally!!!

It took ten minutes under a warm shower to de-ice him and the snow is around for the rest of the week! He doesn't like jumpers and doesn't have one that fits properly anyway. Any thoughts?

Also just sharing for the funny. 😁

You need to be careful with silicone as it is know to break dog fur.

A myth, I'm afraid.

"A myth or negative claim, however, costs nothing. It only needs to be repeated. A good indication that a negative claim is baseless myth, is finding the same phrases being repeated on many websites or blogs.

Silicones are occlusive. One such phrase is that silicones coat the hair “much like plastic wrap”, “suffocating” it and causing it to dry out and subsequently break.(17) This statement is offered over and over on lists of ingredients to avoid. No evidence is offered, often no reference is made, or the reference is a so-called “expert” who simply offers the assertion."

Thanks for the info, I was only going by the info I was told by top US show handlers. Their dogs coats are always in amazing condition

Sorry PF but this is so funny 😂 his face makes me laugh.

Not for now as it won’t get to you in time but I once bought a Snuggy hoods dogs body and they are pretty unobtrusive for a dog that dislikes conventional coats or jumpers

Use a whisk on the lumps.
They are shockingly effective at breaking down snow clumps on dog fur. No idea why but I've seen loads of random videos of them doing a good job.

Personal fave advice so far is to bin him and start over. 🤣 Unfortunately, I'm not sure the bin men will get here this week, through the drifts. If I put him in the bin now he might start to smell before they collect him.
You mean that you have a dog that does not smell?

My hairy one has a pong all of her own, the smooth coated one only really pongs on coming in after a hoon around, until his feet have stopped sweating.

Must admit that I was very sceptical, but I did a search on YouTube, and it really does look like a quite useful tips.

Besides, if you do shave him @PapaverFollis , won't he get cold when out in the current temperatures, and need to wear one of those coats he doesn't like wearing?
