Having given up competing I have several pairs of decent pale cream breeches - can I dye them a more robust beige or similar? They last about 5 mins if I wear them for everyday use at the mo!!
The most widely available dye ( Dylon ) works much better on natural fibres than synthetic, and breeches usually are made of largely synthetic stuff . Even on cotton clothes the stitching is often polyester or similar, so the main material takes up the dye but the stitching doesn't
Al dyes hers pale canary using dusters, so I imagine that other dyes would be equally fine to use. Worth a shot- if you're not competing anymore it's not going to be the end of the world if they come out a bit patchy!
