Can Buffy have some vibes please

Just come back from the vets with Buffy. To keep it brief, she seemed to hurt her back while playing Sunday, kept her quiet rest of day but obiously uncomfy Monday morning so took her to the vets. She showed some pain in her spine so vet precribed metacam and rest. However this morning she was worse so I took her back. She has had x-rays and there is some degeneration in a couple of discs (didn't really take in what vet was saying if I am honest). Anyway, she is now on strong painkillers and has to be kept as quiet as possible. Looks as if we are talking spondylitis which means my poor girl is going to have to slow down a bit. Possibly going back for acupuncture later in the week. Am keeping her and Evie apart (she does not need a loon of a pup knocking her), and poor Evie doesn't understand why her friend can't play. Please can we have some vibes that this flare up is short and Buffy is soon comfier. Thanks.

I'm a believer in acupuncture, but since I don't know if you've tried acupuncture before, I just want to mention that I've never heard of it having full effect after only one or two times, so if it's possible, don't determine whether it is futile or not after one visit.

Thank you for the vibes. She is a lot happier today, the painkillers are obviously working. Thanks for the advice re acupuncture FLH, I will bear that in mind. I will have a more detailed talk with the vet when I report back in a couple of days, was a bit shell shocked yesterday as it came on so suddenly.

Glad to hear the painkillers are helping her.

As I have said, I am a believer, 3 dogs and 1 cat, has had acupuncture this far, and they all have had it for different pain-related causes. After between 4 to 10 times, they have all ended up acting and walking as if they were half their age, and the effect has lasted about a year.
