Can Caffrey have some hugs and vibes please??

He has got something wrong with his foot and it is not looking good!!

He's been lame for a couple of weeks now. First of all mum thought it was gravel but the farrier couldn't find anything. Now she's convinced he's got ring bone, or something equally serious and the farrier agrees.

He's going to the vets on Friday so I guess the xrays will commence. It seems so strange. We've had him for 7 years and he's had nothing wrong with him at all.

I just hope my mum and our farrier have lost the plot and it's nothing serious!! I do trust their judgment though... so it's a bit scary!

Can he have some HHO vibes please??

Vibes for Caff, typical that they never have anything wrong with them for years and everything happens in one big whammy

I know.

My mums last horse was the same and then got hit by a car and broke his leg. *sobs* I soooo hope she is wrong. One of my dads horses got ring bone when he was 5. They spent thousands on him but he was never right. Please let it be something simple that will recover quick!!!

((((hugs and vibes)))))
I really do hope that it is something little that is just being missed and nothing serious.
My fingers are tightly crossed for you all.

Mine had done this to me several times, last year he was lame for about 5 weeks and we eventually found out it was what we'd first thought - an abscess (just proved difficult to find)! Bloody things! he's done it again since and farrier couldn't find a thing, we eventually resorted to the vet but when he turned up horse decided he was then sound! I had him check him for ringbone (my horse is 17 so I constantly think maybe he's got some DJD of some sort) and he said there was nothing there at all! Was again a foot problem (think nail bind).

It is very frustrating and I think we have a tendency to think the worst don't we. Hope all goes well.
