I have no idea how it happened… Oh, who am I trying to kid. I know exactly how it happened. :D

Lenny's been with me for about a week now and it's as if he's always been here. He gets on well with my others so that's one less thing to worry about when it comes time for them to go out in the fields again.
This is him - he's a 7yo ISH gelding, about 16.2hh (so I can get on him without having to get my stepladder out of the lorry :o).

He's a bit fat and unfit so as of yesterday he's been put on a diet.
I've already gotten some of my jumping confidence back and we survived being thrown in the deep end on our first hack this morning. Let's just say that I'm glad I had a neck strap. ;)

I have a few aims for this year but I don't want to push things just yet. I think I'll wait to see how our first lesson goes next week just in case it's a disaster. :o

Thanks for reading. :)

Thanks, guys :)

I don't have a lot of pictures of him just yet but I do have a video of us jumping a few tiny fences the day I tried him out (all mistakes were my doing - hadn't jumped in months and confidence was in tatters :o).

ETA: oops - photos are huge :o

Hmmm he looks a bit too bay for you. I worry he may clash with your eye colur. Send him to me to save yourself the fashion faux pas! Seriously, he looks wonderful. What a fantastic find. You obviously have excellent horse hunting skills!

Good point. I would have to send the other bay with him - two chestnuts and only one bay would throw off the aesthetic. Matching pairs and all that...

I wish I could take the credit but my instructor is the one who found him. :)

Glad you have found a lovely horse, l've had loads of fun with my ISH in the 12 years l've had her. Hope Lenny gets your confidence back up with your jumping he looks the sort to really take care of you. Have lots of fun getting to know him :)
