I can't imagine there was much benefit for the sponsors, unless it was a leading figure in a very large hunt - the point is to get your name linked to success and in front of as many different people as possible, so hunting wouldn't be great for that. Not sure how the hunt would view it either ... Seems a bit off for someone to make money out of following them when they do all the hard work, and branded saddlecloths are unlikely to go down well!
I very much doubt it! What company would want Hunt Sabs - sorry monitors - breathing down thier neck? When we apply / re-apply for sponsorship I don't even mention that we hunt and I certainly would not wear sponsor logos etc.
