As I've already waffled about in previous posts, Hovis and I are doing our first competition next wednesday.
It's a local thing - clear round then a novice and green horse class at 55cm.
Question however - can I carry a schooling whip? I don't need one to make him "go" but do use one to keep him straight when he wobbles (only to reinforce my very weak left leg). Will I be allowed or not?

Most unaffiliated sj is run under BSJA rules so no whips over 30cm, but worth calling the organisers as they might make an exception.

Ah I see. Thats fine. I will check but I imagine you're right. I can ride him without its just easier with one.
The bet may now go from him destroying every jump after the second one, to him destroying EVERY jump!!
