Really really stupid question!!!!!!!

After keeping Lyla in last night for the first time this year (yard rules) I was faced with a rather stinky straw bed this morning!! Joy! :D

I know smelly straw beds tend to make you smell - Now, my hair is quite long and I always wear it up in ponytail - I don't have time to wash it every morning ...

I don't find ouder (sp!) le horse nasty - but my work colleagues might!

So - finally - can you febreeze your hair to mask the horse wee smell ??!!!

Or any other bright ideas?!!! :D

Shavings are not an option :)

I would invest in some waterless shampoo incase it happens again. Spray and brush out.

I don't know if I would use febreeze on my hair but what about a mist of perfume instead?

hi, i know your situation well. i use a product called batiste dry shampoo spray. its great for after the yard and after riding. just spray it in your hair. massage it through with your hands. a quick brush and hey presto. good as new. you can get it from most supermarkets or from boots. hope this helps :D

batiste is great for this! I get it from savers or home bargains for about £1 a can! Fab stuff! and can get a range of nice smells/flavours

:) worst is i go to work straight from the yard in the morning and often have haylege in my hair or slobber of his sloppy feed across my back!

Yep you can use febreeze on your hair;)

I find that dry shampoo doesn't work on my hair it just makes it look really greasy.

haha, I just go in smelly, they know me well enough by now and only get mad when I leave a trail of mud across the carpet!

I used to keep a massive can I'n the car and had a complete chemical shower before going somewhere from the yard and it never did me any harm, I'm sure breathing I'n fumes may not have been advised but I'm still here! It also hides the smell I'n the car too!

Or, wear your hair in a hat? I had my Thinsulate hat on the other day as it was so cold and I'd just washed my hair earlier that day. Took hat off and it smelt and looked very fresh!

dry shampoo!!

i hate horse smells on me too!.... some people came in where i work y'day and they stunk of horse (kinda gave it away the wore jods etc..)

Id bee mortified if i smelt like a horse going into work too :D

Impulse body spray is good too!! :)

Once you have deodorized your hair, check out your fingernails! I used to find the smell was impossible to wash off and I teach. Children seem to have a very acute sense of smell.
I tried wearing rubber gloves, but always seemed to end up handling something stinky(taking boots, gloves, coat off, opening the yard gate etc)

I have solved the problem by keeping horses out 24/7. I think its the only way to avoid the smell!:)

Hollister do a spritzer (sp?) I keep it in my car and have a spray when im done at yard also get sthe horsey and doggie smell out my car :D and i love the smell! bottles big as well! Agree horse smell isn't nice for norsey people let alone non horsey. Hate walking round the shops and smelling dirty straw as a horsey person walks by the amonia is very strong haha!
