I am supposed to be going to Hickstead tomorrow and meeting up with a friend who I haven't seen for many years as she emigrated and has just returned to the UK.
I am so fed up because my darned car decided to break down this morning. It is still at the garage and I am waiting to hear what is wrong with it.
Sorry, just wanted to get it off my chest.

Dont worry We all like a moan sometimes maybe we should have a page purley for moaning on lol

Can you not get a train that way to meet her? I hope you find some ways of getting there. Chin up. Evrey cloud and all

I've looked on Hickstead's website and the station is miles away but thank you for the suggestion.
Not only this but I am also supposed to be going on holiday at the weekend towing my caravan.
Aint life s***

Oh dear. I dunno then hun,Is there no way of either getting train then bus or check out the nation express web site and see if they do any coach services that way

For me a coach would mean going into London then changing. I don't want to sound wimpish but it woyuld truly be such a long trip I would spend all day travelling and have to leave early to be able to get connections home.

Bless you. thank you for your support. It has at least made me feel a little better having got it off my chest so to speak.
C'est La Vie and all that.

Ask the garage if they will give you a courtesy car (lay it on about meeting friend/only chance/been looking forward to it for months blah, blah).

Or failing that hire one for the day - its not v expensive if you dont mind having a little car

Good luck, hope you get there!

This is where you find out who your real friends are by asking for a lift, failing that, forking out for a Taxi

Excellent news. The garage pulled one out of the bag for me. They found the fault and it was something to do with a hole in a pipe/tube somewhere. They have fixed it for me so i am able to go to Hickstead and meet my friend.
Yeahhhhhhhhyhh. I'm really happy now. I'm sure it was the vibes from you good people.
If anyone needs a good garage recommending then ask me.
I'll post a new post in case this one is so far down no-one sees it.
