I know it wont achieve anything but at least I know you lot will understand! At the edge of our village we have part of a circular walk, it used to be farmers fields along the riverside but the local authority bought the land many years ago and turned it into 'a walk'. During spring, autumn and winter we only meet the 'locals' regular dog walkers. However in the nice weather the world and his wife seem to turn up. Now this is fine in principal, its a lovely spot so why shouldnt they come to enjoy it. Why oh why though do they have to turn it into the worlds biggest s**theap. In the last fortnight my dogs have supplemented their diet with half eaten burgers, sausages, remains of KFC takeaway, sandwiches et al. Their are patches of burnt grass and branches pulled off trees where they are constructing bbqs, bottles and cans everywhere, discarded clothes, I kid you not, you could clothe a whole family and worst of all, there are no toilet facilities anywhere along this route, (its a walk designed to take a couple of hours max) so the day trippers and campers just use the bushes and riverbanks. This morning at 630am I came across a group of teenagers lined up in the bushes after a night under canvas, I dont scare easily and I think they were more embarrassed than me, especially when 3 dogs went to investigate, but really!! I shall be speaking to the Parks Trust today but realistically, nothing will happen, I just wanted to vent and as OH has gone to work thought I would have a little moan on here. Apologies, but it does rattle me!!
