has anybody ever reported someone driving a work van to their employer?

we had two 'white van men' pass us far too fast today and ignore our signals asking them to slow down. I am, of course, assuming that they both know what the signal means given that they were both quite young looking from what I could see while they were coming towards us.
Luckily all of my boys are good in traffic and ignored the vans whizzing by them.

Anyhoo, has anybody ever complained about an employee's driving? Did anything come of it?
I'm very tempted to complain the next time it happens given that my horse is rather unlikely to dent should he be hit.

Sorry for the mini moan - we did have a lot of very courteous drivers pass us wide and slow and a lovely farmer waited for us to trot to the next gateway so we could pull in before he passed in his tractor so it's not all bad :p

No, but I would, did it have the company's name etc on the van? I had a white van honking and revving behind me and my yearling as I was leading her to her new field and then passed within inches too fast, the lay by was just up ahead, peed me off but my girl wasn't phased thankfully I was fuming though, hope it hasn't soured her to that road.

I'm tempted to buy one of those hat cams.

A couple of people on my yard reported a bus driver to his company as his behaviour was shocking - I believe the company took it seriously

Yes, I have. Only the once, I did get an apology from the company but whether it was taken further with the driver I have no idea.

It was quite comical though as I recognised this particular driver as he used to come into my place of work on a regular basis to ask for directions to various properties in the area, well, actually he never asked - just pointed at his piece of paper and grunted at you then walked out with another grunt once you had given him the info without so much as a thank you. Whether he recognised me on the day he was driving like a numpty I have no idea but he's not been into our office for directions since ;):D

interesting.. it's nice to hear that companies do seem to take these things seriously.
then again, I don't think they'd be too pleased if one of their vehicles was involved in an accident.

I do wonder if we would be better off investing in a hat cam so we have evidence should anything ever happen.

Once a van overtook me on a bend doing 40 while a bus was coming the other way. I had to jump up the verge. So i decided to very loudly shout the name of his company and wouldn't you know he went round the block and came back apologizing, 'first day on the job, please don't report, very sorry ect'

I left if be but know if it happened again i'd be straight on the phone.
