Can I have a proud (soppy) owner moment?

Puppies went for boosters today. They were delighted to be somewhere ‘new’ and wanted to say hello to another owner but he didn’t look keen. They were all waggy tails, taking treats from the vet, didn’t squeak at the needle. The vet said ‘If they stay looking like this for the rest of their days, we’ll be very happy’. They’re in excellent shape. Little angels kept checking back with me in the woods afterwards, I’m on the go-slow not having been there since Christmas Day (something popped in my calf)

Mitch’s ear covers Goose’s whole head!

Was thinking of your leg, my mum’s mate fell and had temporary ‘scaffolding’ on til last week. Christmas Day in hospital, bless her!

They are gorgeous and good!
I'm sorry to hear that your leg is bothering you again.

Got stupid phlebitis down the front, the pop might be related. Stopped me in my tracks when it happened. I was wondering if I’d have to crawl back to the car!
They're very different for same litter brothers, aren't they? Sorry about the leg!
.

Extremely. Mitch is lanky, a much bigger dog, clumsy, very vocal, lies quietly without moving if allowed upstairs for cuddles. He tends to stay close in the woods. Goose is square, compact, small and can’t stay still upstairs-weird given the hours he spends on my knee. He turns round and wags his whole body at you when excited and only squeaks in the car. He springboks around the garden, kind of rears and likes to gallop round the woods, coming back every couple of minutes.

They’re both incredibly affectionate and have fabulous temperaments. We’re extremely lucky given our impulsive ‘Oh look, this one looks like Zak’ late night insanity.

I remember ribbing you for posting one day that you were going to wait (a year?) and then a few days later posting with pictures of this pair ?

Although my scaffolding was not so easy to live with and the removal was horrendous, the outcome has been superb. I still have visible scars but some of them are fading now and the leg works well. Christmas in hospital doesn't sound good.

Honestly, I think I told Clodagh the day before we got them that we'd decided not to get more! Bonkers. I remember my OH showing me what I thought was Zak and that there were 2 boys left. It was fate! Goose is the best booby prize ever! ?
