Can I have opinions please????

I would only consider the last one - the first two look difficult. If that is the best photo they can get of the cob, then that's a worry! He's actually napping in the photo! And the first has a rider who's lost her confidence. You have to ask why...

Must admit - not 100% keen on the fresian x cob - not sure what bit it is in. Apparantly they had just taken it out of the field and rode it for the photos. I just dont know whether he 'looks' right - put together properly etc

I do like the last one though

Hmm, the cob and the last one have the same contact name, same owner?

So if you were to look at one of those you could look at both at the same time.

Cobs not my thing personally anyway, good idea (if you like tham all) to look at them all in person anyway.

The cob looks like it is napping in the photos! Nothing against scruffy horses, but why buy one which is advertised as being nappy. No point buying problems if you can buy something else.

the video for the third one looks uncannily like those normally seen on a well featured dodgy dealers site...

Morning.

One and Two look ok - particularly no 1. Wouldn't touch the fresian with a barge pole. Wonder if it's been a driving horse - hence the nap? Anyway it wouldnt be for me.

Don't like the look of the freisian at all - but why are they riding it in a driving bit on a relatively severe setting? The throatlash is done up incredibly tight too. No wonder the poor blighter's napping.

The last one - that video is like one of those "what happens next" films - does the horse just stand there or doesn't go completely bonkers?

The first one, what is the rider nervous of? I'd be inclined to ring her up and ask, purely because I have dealt with excessively nervous riders who are scared of the most bombproof of horses.

Have to agree with Druid - that certain person used to sell a lot of imported fresians if I remember correctly.

Also watching the video - what happened next when the van actually tried to pass the horse? If it was good in traffic, then the video would have shown the van passing the horse. Would personally never buy from someone who would ride on the road with no hat!

I dont like any of them to be honest, for some reason they all just scream DANGER!

Friesian - napping in the pics, the bit, how stressed it looks,OMG you couldnt give me it!

Chestnut- What happened after the van went past, did the horse bolt? Who knows, dont really like the look of the horse either, a bit leggy for my liking.

Bay -looks a nice horse but why has the rider lost her confidence, could be nothing to do with th horse, or the horse could be a loon! May be worth finding out though.

I really like the WB, and i don't like the Freisien X at all, especially because they are riding it in a Liverpool driving bit, whats that all about?! probably very strong and barmy, lol.
Be worth while going to see the WB though i think.

Budget of £2k max - something thats pref 16.plus. age/sex/breed not really important. Just something to have fun with - doesnt matter if just been broken etc as can school etc.
Pref in Yorkshire area due to travel

i cannont believe no2 is being ridden in a liverpool driving bit, that bit is so harsh esp on that hole they have the rein in! blimey!!! poor animal, i agree no wonder hes napping!

that last horse its feet are massive!!! lol

Personally don't like any of them. The first, for a start, because of how the ad is worded, "can do lateral work" and "will jump/hack" make it sound like it could, but it won't do it easily. Also because of the rider lacks confidence bit. Could just be very nervy before she had the horse, could be the horse is why. Two explains itself really! Don't like the look of the third. Haven't watched the vid so might move nicely or something else redeeming.

There are loads for sale that will do what you want but don't restrict yourself to just yorkshire. Do a search for what you want countrywide. Dealers will negociate with you on price and you can bargin free delivery within your budget of 2K. i.e if the horse you like is on at 2k, go and look at it and then when youa re talking money, offer the 2K plus they deliver!

Don't restrict yourself to whats available locally - buy whats suitable and worse case, hire a trailer and collect! Use that as a bargining chip!

Good look - loads more suitable out there for you.

If I was the one driving then I wouldnt really restrict the area. However as I dont drive at the moment it is my mum and stepdad who have offered to take me to look. I dont really want to take advantage by asking them to go further than 1 hour or so away.

sorry didn't mean to pry

I posted today about how i have to sell my horse cos he is not suitable for what i want to do, just being over cautious that you don't end up in the same situation - you are better off putting them out to bring you to see the right horse than not putting them out and you getting something you will have to try and sell in a few months time!

Best of luck
