can i have some help/suggestions please?

i am having to syringe 10ml kaogel into my rather poorly dog twice a day, but she isnt very cooperative about taking it, and i think more is ending up on me/the floor than she is actually getting, so does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it into her without the spillage?
i can understand her pov as it smells foul, and she is on a load of other tablets too but she has to take it and im really struggling with getting it into her

I have had to do this with both Cats and horses (not yet dogs!) so I sympathise. The only way I could think of that would be easy is to have the dog in between your legs holding the mouth open from underneath the jaw with one hand from below and the other hand hold the syringe and squirt quickly down the throat aiming for the back of the throat.

Then shut the mouth and hold the head up quickly massaging the gullet and dont let do until he/she swallows.

It helps to have an assistance ready with the syringe all primed - speed is of the esscence.

Obviously treat afterwards, if he is not too poorly to have.

I had to syringe tablets down my cat as I simply couldnt get the tablets down otherwise and mixed them with a little sunflower oil to lubricate.

thanks for the advise, i am having to administer her meds by myself as she is fussy about who she will take things from
she is too poorly to have a treat after she gets her medicine, so i cant even give her something with it to mask the taste
