Waffled a lot!
I think Lollydolly talks a lot of sense. I think you're much better selling them and putting 100% into uni and that stage of your life, including getting a job and moving on after uni when you have a lot of debt to pay off. There are loads of people wanting sharers for their horses, so you would still be able to ride and look after a horse if you really wanted to.
I didn't sell my first pony when I went off to college and later uni. I loaned him out for several years, some loans were great, others not so great and I regret putting him through that. Many years later, I had to organise having him put down while living 200 miles away, which was upsetting and hard. I was in my 30s, had just moved in with a boyfriend, bought a house, got a new job etc. My life had moved on really. With hindsight, I really should have sold him when I left at 18.
