I bought a bridle and matching martingale see below
http://www.robinsonsequestrian.com/stitched-snaffle-bridle.html

I wipe over both with leather wipes after practically every use. But every time I clean it bits of the thread comes out. At first it was bits around the headpiece which you couldn't really see but now it's on the detail around the noseband and martingale pieces. Martingale and bridle were bought as separate items and I still have the receipt but they were purchased on the 11th October. I wouldn't mind if it was just the odd bit of string but but every time it gets worse and there are now gaps in the stitching.
I am presuming I can't return it as it is past 28 days but not sure if same rule applies if goods go faulty?? Thanks!!

I would phone but they are closed and was planning on calling them tomorrow but was unsure of where I stood. Thanks I was hoping I would be able too :)

I can't see a problem, Robinsons are pretty good. Just point out it is not fit for purpose. Just because it was a reasonable price does not mean it should begin to fall apart in a few months.

I have found Robinsons excellent when it comes to returns/exchanges, even without receipt, as they have a record of your purchases.

I'm another who's had good service from Robinsons when things have gone wrong. I expect you won't have any problems but good luck anyway.

I have the exact same bridle from them, used regularly for well over a year with no problems at all so would suggest that there is something wrong with yours. If I was you I'd take it back and speak to them. They are usually pretty good.

I have that exact bridle and I havent had the stitching come out! (but then again I only used it for about a month before putting it away).

Id definitely contact them about it as it must be faulty. They where very good when I had a problem with something I bought a couple of years ago

We found them to be excellent, when our electric fencing unit was faulty. Got the manufacturers to repair it within a week, and phoned to say it was ready. By that time we had another to keep us going and I was unable to go back to the shop to collect it for 3 months. When I did go in, they were able to find it immediately and, once checked, disposed of all the bubble wrap it had been in thus leaving me with only the unit to carry home.

Definitely, not fit for purpose, did not last a reasonable length of time and not satisfactory quality.
Usually you get six months for a return due to this description under the Sale of Goods Act 1979

Good luck:D

I think I have this. Does anyone else find the noseband ridiculously short? Sorry, a bit OT but just curious :D Keeping mine, may just see what a saddler can so with it, I just find on the last hole it is *just* about OK... :D
