After 26 years of being around me and my horses I can't believe he's still clueless about them. Worming day today and he decided to help by measuring the doses on the syringes, except he forgot to lock the block on the dosage, lucky I was taking it slow and realised! I don't even trust him to hold a horse, he tends to let go if the horse even looks at him funny! Help! Good job he's good at diy

Has been known for my OH to put saddle on wrong way!!!WTF his excuse is that " you usually tack up " wonders never cease.

Thank goodness, thought I was suffering alone! I really envy my friend for her husband who jumps on her horses and sorts out any problems they have, but, he's no good at diy so I suppose you can't have it all

OP, trust me, that's better than my OH, who although he knows diddly about horses is not afraid of them at all and is an instant expert... can be quite infuriating at times!
however, he's being really helpful at the moment, walking around the arena with me on the wobbly 4 yr old and distracting her with food, so i'd better be nice.
oh, and wtf is it with guys wearing flip-flops going fearlessly into fields full of my horses?! i think i can read horses but i would NEVER do that!

Oh lol

My OH so not horsey its untrue, but he knows my horses make me happy and doesn't give me any grief about the amount I spend on them (2 retired and 1 on full livery).

And he just sighed when I managed to end up with 3 saddles

Not like my previous OH who said (literally) its me or the horses - ha ha ha ha !!!!!! He could stuff right off! And he did!

mine apparantly only needs to weeks to take my 5 year old to GP level (he has never jumped in his life) but isnt going to because he isnt a "poof" smile and nod........................

After 40 years of marriage and 35 of those owning horses, my OH still cann't tack up and don't get me on mucking out!!!!!!!! But he damned good at DIY if I want anything done at the yard he's your man. He's also just put down oak flooring in the lounge and this weekend the hallway, he says he's not retiring as I've just shown him the jobs list for when he does.
