Basil seems to have made a full recovery. I have not wanted to say before now as he got a bit better, i anounced it and he went downhill.
He is eating us out of house and home, putting on weight, lovely glossy coat and back to his cheeky self.
I am so happy, well that is not the word. I don't drink so you are all welcome to raise a glass in celebration. The vet was so certain he was going to die - i was absolute certain he wasn't!
A huge great big thankyou to you all for your support. You all realy did help with your advice - hugs, vibes. Big, huge thankyous.

Thankyou. I can't tell you how happy i am. My confidence took a dive when he was so ill. If i drank i would be popping champagne.

Well done Basil and you of course SF. However when Haddy had this he did have a few digestive problems on and off over the next year or so. He is in his late twenties though. The vet suggested putting him on pink powder and he has never looked back.

Thankyou for that. I will keep it in mind. What is Pink Powder? I have often seen it mentioned.
He has been going out across the road for more and more grass. Going back to the fields later this week. I think all his mates will be happy to see him.

Pink pwder is a pro biotic and aids digestive processes. I use the NAF one all the time for the old boy. It's just mixed in with his feed.
