Can I use a ladder against my horsebox?

Daft question time, google is no help

I need to sort some issues on my horsebox roof- can I lean a ladder against the sides without damaging it???

I've used a massive step ladder, but I can't reach the middle, and it's fibreglass so I can't crawl on top of the roof.


The lorry was a bread lorry in a former life I think- so normal lorry construction, whatever that means

I'd have thought so,put towels on the ladder top to protect the body of the van.

Please make sure that you have someone who is willing to have their hands either side of the ladder and their foot on the bottom rung as you go up and down it.
I'm sure that there's a lovely view from the top, but . . .

Agreed! I blooming HATE ladders, but needs must.

Ok. I’ve done that when I needed to give roof a good clean after it was parked under a tree for a few months. I got a fellow livery to foot the ladder. I put old carpet over the top end and had my cleaning bucket and long handle Brush on strings and up I went. First I threw some cleaner on roof and used brush. Then used bucket water to continue, then as it waS A HOT DAY. we had fun after throwing clean water on roof, but it was cleaner.
