Can I use baby oil on my bridle?

I can't get the proper stuff for a while and would like to avoid the cost anyway if possible. Would soap and baby oil be ok for my bridle ?

Can you not pick up something during the week or next weekend that wont clog up the leather?

Tack cleaning products are not expensive in the great world of horse keeping, nor is making your own product either

I wouldn't use baby oil on leather, leather cleaner's and conditioners are not expensive.

You can use olive oil at a push, but baby oil would make it a bit, well, yuck.

I'm the queen of make do & mend...but the thought of not wanting to spend £4 on a proper bottle of Neatsfoot oil makes my head spin. It's hardly the extravagance of the century 😂
