Can I Wear A Flash Noseband With A Double Bridle???

I have a few Working Hunter Pony classes coming up. Just wondered whether you can have a double bridle with a flash noseband or whether you have to have a cavesson??

Cavesson is correct. With that much bit in the horse's mouth it would be unwise to use a flash.

No, you are not allowed to wear a flash with a double bridle in working hunter classes!

I don't think there is a 'tack rule' as such, but it is not usually seen. However, Louise Bell uses a flash with a pelham.

I think anything goes in WH classes (not sure about WHP though). Louise Bell regularly uses a flash with her double bridles.....

A flash with a double bridle / pelham is often seen in use for WH classes at the highest levels (along with rugby pelhams without a sliphead........

). It's considered perfectly acceptable. The important thing in a WH class is for the horse to go forwards in a mannerly fashion, & give the judge a forward going but polite ride.
Whether or not it's "correct" to team a flash with a double bridle however is a different thing entirely

does it make a difference if it is a pony?

as opposed to louises workers, I have never seen this combo used in a WHP class and am not sure a judge would look favourably on it. But I don't know!
