can I wear these to ride in and do you think they would be waterproof

Hi,

I am looking for some boot for the winter to save my nice leather ones. I want to ride in them, but also know they will be ok walking in muddy fields. What do you think, or do can you reccomend and better alternatives?

They look good to me, the only safety thing is to make sure they have a heel so your foot doesn't slip through the stirrip and they look like they do.

I haven't tried them myself, but they look quite practical for traipsing across muddy fields lol
I normally use my hunter wellies in the winter.

These don't look so posh, but they are completely waterproof, you can just hose the mud off, they are fabulously warm and comfortable, and made especially for riding in: Muck boots . I have worn the same pair for three winters and they are still going strong. I wouldn't be without them.
