...but wouldn't be a forum without them!

I am no multi billionaire, but it is starting to get on my bosoms how
many people who don't have a penny are collecting horses.

People I know are buying horses under 1k, asking to pay in installments, saying £20 a week DIY is too pricey, complaining about shavings costing too much for their not one but three horses, and much worse.

I dread to think what happen when it comes to vet bills. Some I know are even breeding from injured old horses that they can't afford to feed!

I know it shouldn't concern me, but when the price of a horse is becoming less than that of a dog, they are ending up in the wrong hands and people are prioritising incorrectly!

I agree. I'm no money bags but I have 5 horses and there basic needs are always met and sometimes there is change for a little treat!

That's fine! I don't mean people who have natives living out, and not being able to afford to kit them out in premier equine gear. But some are keeping horses outside all year, some which cannot withstand the weather no matter how you rug up, not feeding enough and just proud to have ten horses. God forbid if one needed stabling, or the owner had to have a hospital stay or the price of hay increased.
