Can saddles be made narrower?

I purchased a lovely new Jeffries Falcon adler vsd in March of this year and I don't think , no I know it won't fit my next possible purchase.,
Someone said that a saddler could make it narrower is this true?

If not someone could pick up a bargain!

I once had a saddle narrowed to fit my horse and it never caused me any problems. I seem to recall the saddler put a plate on it. It was Lawrence Pearman at Stroud Saddlery but it was so long ago that Lawrence must have been Five and a Half

I have used him for 15 years for my own and clients saddles and he has never let me down.

I had my albion take down half a size just with leader pads on the points.

I try a prolite pad first...... if your horses builds up in a couple of months you'll kicking yourself for having it narrowed!
