Working hunter and hunter trials?? My boy will finish hunting in a couple of weeks and i'm thinking about what to do with him in the summer. He is the most amazing jumper and i would really like to do something along those lines but i'm really not into showjumping. Any help is much appreciated......
 
working hunter is showing where you get marked on the style of your jumping and the conformation and suitability of your horse where as hunter trials is cross country
 
hunter trials are cross country jumping.
Working hunter is a show class with rustic jumps judged on style, confo etc
Do both!

Working hunter is a showing class where you go in, jump a course of rustic sj's and then everyone (who is clear) goes in and does a showing class

Thanks guys for all your replys. I think he would be fab in working hunter classes (he's the coloured chap in my little pic). I think we'll give it a go!
