Ok so a local show has warmblood in hand, and I am going to do it with my Belgian mare.

What bridle do i need to use, double?

Also do I need to use quarter marks?

If I also show best condition in hand what bridle/ browband do I use?

Thanks :-)

We show our warmbloods according to type - the riding horse types have coloured browbands and the hunter types plain leather. Plain leather in all sports horse classes (even with those we show as riding horses under saddle). Brown tack is preferred but for local level they shouldn't mind.

We use in-hand bridles on the 2 and 3 year olds, normal snaffle bridles on the novices and doubles on the grown ups.

Plaited manes, pulled tails and quarter marks (except the grey which doesn't get quarter marked). The 2 year old has his tail plaited, even at county, due to owners' preference.

Tweed jacket for the handler for sports horse / hunter / riding horse types.

That said, there is always the possibility that a local show holding a specific "warmblood" class, as opposed to a sports horse class, may be envisaging them being plaited in the European way with the white banding around the plaits and a handler in a black/navy jacket but a quick call to the show sec should help you clarify.... Good luck!
