the outer perimeter of my squarish piece of land is approx 470 metres. (used a 500 metre roll of braid all the way around but still had a little bit left over,

My question is how many acres would this roughly equate too?

according to my calculations 3.5 acres but dont quote me on that lol


how come you had 500m roll and had some left over if it only measured 470m ?

I often use Google planimeter.

Just find the field in question, by zooming in and then switching to satellite view.

Then just put points around the perimeter of the field and it will tell you the area in both hectares and acres.

I find this quite accurate for measuring field certainly within a few %.
