I have lost my link to the study looking at the impact of restricting hay overnight/lower acid production overnight. If my brain is remembering this right. I think it was produced by a feed company, but I can't remember which.

Would someone with a better mental filing system than mine share a link please, if this is not too vague a description?

Is it this one?

Thank you for this study, I hadn’t been aware of it but it feels innately obvious and backs up this years decision to bring the girls in to load with forage during the day and then turn out on to bare paddocks overnight.

An academic foot note. For future use when one cant find an article on academic research.

Just as Google Books lists most published books, the website Google scholar lists academic articles published in journals.
I went to google scholar and put in the author Lister and too many choices came up with authors surname Lister. But when I put in Lister and the word horse, up came the article you are citing.

Edited to say that Google Scholar lists digital material. It does not always list earlier work published in printed journals.

Very interesting read! I have recently been forced to put my fatty on a diet from gaining too much weight from ad lib hay, and reading this I no longer feel the need to have a very bad conscious and fear of ulcers for restricting him during the night.
