can someone please tell me what this mark is....

Just spotted this on Fodhla. Would appreciate if anyone could tell me what it is. It wasn't there yesterday. I looked it up on Google lens which told me everything from cancer to an ingrown hair it doesn't feel bumpy or like there's anything in there.

Thanks Pauline, I wondered that- there's definitely nothing inside and I've given it a good clean and prodded it and it's not bothering her so I think it probably looks more sore than it is. The worst part of being a first time dog owner is everything you come across is for the first time

If she's not up to date on tick prevention I would getting that sorted out. Could be anything but the location and reaction make a tick bite suspicious

my first thought too, mine have had those marks, i cleaned with diluted hibiscrub and they went in a few days so i assumed a tick bite,

I think tick too. It will have had its meal on her and detached, leaving a small hole. Give it a good clean and it should heal quickly. I'd also make sure you have a tick preventative sorted.

Hi sorry I've been offline for a few days! thanks for the responses- she is up to date on tick preventative but I've redone her after speaking to the vet on the phone as I was worried about overdosing lol. It's much reduced now and barely noticeable.
