Hi, does anyone have a reference book that they swear by. Something that contains chapters dealing with the horse from birth to becoming old - what to expect from them during each stage of their life. Their behaviour as a foal and what is considered playful behaviour and what it just bad behaviour and how best to deal with it. Also, physical problems encountered from birth to the mature horse.

If anyone can suggest a book or books that would be great :)

My general horsey bible is jeremy houghton brown's horse and stable management book. For breeding/birth to full grown, Mina Davies Morel's books are good but quite heavy on the scientific detail, not really something you could pick off the tack room shelf and use as a quick reference guide. but very very good reading otherwise.
