Can Synequin be sold on ?

My mare was put down a couple of weeks ago and had literally just started a new tub of synequin. At over £150 a pot it cant go in the bin but my vets have been very vague about what I can do with it - in terms of giving it away or selling it. I don't know anyone that uses it so cant go down that road - from what I have read it isn't a pom but equally it seem only available through vets - any ideas ?
 
it was more that they couldn't really give me a good answer apart from they will have it back and destroy it which seems so pointless for something so expensive - onto the sales boards then :)
