Well the liver scan showed nothing abnormal! I was then asked to take a urine sample in which I have done, so now waiting for that result.
I am really so fed up and worried.
Flamehead--no, haven't had x rays done of Jess's hips, but she is on a glucosamine supplement. Has been for a while as they all are.

What the Hell is going on with my dogs! I really want to get to the bottom of Jess and Beau's illnesses but haven't got a bottomless pit of money.
Sorry for moaning.

Good news about the liver results.
You have my sympathies, we have all had periods of time where it seems like one thing after another with animals and vets bills! (well I certainly have!)
Try not to worry to much, I know thats really hard but you can only follow the advice of the vets and let them do what they can to get to the bottom of it. You are doing your best. (((hugs))) for you and huggles for Jess and Beau. x

Thanks for the hugs etc.
Oh and another ironic moment was that when I got home afte fetching Beau yesterday, there was a card through the post to remind me that all the dogs vaccs are now due!
(same vets!)

I'm glad to hear the liver is OK - liver issues can go downhill really quickly because there are very few outward signs until it is nearly too late - take it as a positive and I hope you get some solid news soon x

I'm sitting here nearly in tears. My mobile rang, I ran in from garden to pick it up and missed the call from the vet!
Rang straight back and was told he'd ring back. That was at 15.41.
still waiting.

Just had the phone call.
There is protein and blood or haemoglobin in the urine sample. The vet is sending the sample for more intensive tests.
I have to take her tomorrow at 15.10, when, hopefully, the results will be back.
The vet is talking about a possible nephrotic syndrome. (please excuse spellings)

These are some of B's pet symptoms - initially he had a mass in his bladder - started out as a UTI and got very aggressive (stoic sod, hadn't a clue) and was blasted with anti-biotics. That was June 2009.
He had a small UTI in April 2010 which was nipped in the bud and he has been clear since.
Hopefully it is something sort-able.
He has been queried for diabetes, Cushings, thyroid and they all came back negative.

(Without going into too much detail, he is not really put together properly downstairs according to scans, we think as the result of a traumatic whelp, short this, missing that, which makes him more prone to infection, like if he goes in stinky water etc.
