Can this be right?!!

My Golden Retriever weighs 37kg. I was looking at the Wainwrights meat trays like this:

it claims I would only need to feed him 1 a day

That doesn't seem alot for a big dog?!

Finally a dog question..........I would say that is correct with some dry added, or are u jsut feeding the meat?
Also u may need to adjust depending on the dog, if it's neutered not/how active, these feeding guide lines will not suit all.

Well The pack says just the meat is enough but I would have to give him mixer aswell as i think he'd be hungry. Hes not neutered and very active. He gets around 600 grams of Bakers food a day now aswell as his treats.

I have to say, Wainwrights is fantastic stuff

Thanks to recommendations on here, and a little trial and error, I have had Popple on it for some time now, and everywhere I go people comment on how shiny she is; she literally sparkles

(and she is a very picky eater

I would think a tray per day PLUS a couple of v generous handfuls of their biscuits per meal, is likely to be sufficient for a dog the size of yours.

Pops has about 2/5th - 1/2 a tray per day, split into two feeds, with a tiny handful of their biscuits in each (she is VERY active, but picky over biscuits!!). She had previously been on many other biscuits, (of which we still have some of the last bag in the cupboard

) but she is clearing her bowl like never before now we've started using their biscuits instead

If you are changing from Bakers then be prepared that your poochy may not seem keen if you make a sudden transition (as bakers is full of additives

), or they may seem keen for a few days and then change their mind. Ease them over v slowly and gradually and I'm sure they will like it, and you'll see the benefits

let us know how you get on, as I find results of diet changes are always great to learn about

He used to get the wainwrights biscuits with frozen tripe. When he changed to the Bakers meaty Meals I didn't really notice a difference so will see how he is if I change him to the meat.
The bakers meaty meals doen't have all the additives in that the others do as theres no colouring in it to make it look pretty! Its just SO expensive!

Hmm, I would think it likely that it still has additive in tbh.
