Can trailers go in long grass/down slopes?

Ok - very silly question to some maybe but I have to take a trailer down a track which has very long grass - almost like a meadow and as well as that its down a slope! Not too steep but certainly not a smooth run.

Of course I'll take my ned out before doing this (!), I just wanted to know can trailers go 'off road' a bit?

Its an equitrek by the way and towed with a 4.0 jeep.

What do you think?

Should be fine. They are designed to access show fieds etc which often have long grass and can be slopey. I wouldn't worry just take it easy. I would try and do it on a dry day if possible as long grass and a steep slope could be very slippery if wet or even with a heavy dew.
 
shouldn't be a problem!! the only thing you have to watch out for is the trailer's ground clearance will be less than that of your jeep, so avoid any deep ruts.
i towed my trailer through a rough old field that was part swamp with my fourtrack the other week so you should be fine!
 
Just don't turn sharply on the slope whilst still going downhill or you could jack-knife if it is slippery.

A lack of friction situation is a good test of your Newtonian physics... This many kg moving at this many m/s had a monentum of...requiring an opposite force of... for this many seconds...

Retarding force (car) acting against a mass (trailer) ... whose centre of gravity is offset from the CoG by... causes a rotational acceleration of...

Uphill is easy - you either have enough traction or you don't...
