As lots of you know my horse Misty died suddenly last month, and I had only purchased her a short time before. I have lost all my savings & insurance claim a no-go. Initially thought I would give up, I was so upset by it all, but I cant get the horsewoman aspect of me out of my head, and am getting twitchy to ride again! Popping various ads in local classifieds and cornwall farmers but if there is anyone out there West Cornwall area who could offer me the occaisional ride or opportunity to school/compete, would be hugely appreciative if could PM. Also had hopes up for hunt season which now appears unlikely to happen. Ideally looking for MW hunter type 14.2-15.3 but grateful of anything. References available & would be great if you have any suggestions.

Good Luck - someone out there must be willing to let you help out...
I was looking for a riding companion - in the end I posted a local advert up in my scats and tack shops...I even thought about posting one in the local newspaper...did find one in the end...
good luck with it and fingers crossed for you...you would be welcome to ride my horse if you lived south east...

I am so sorry your horse died - the same happened to me, I lost all three of my horses in three months. It was so shocking for me I gave up having my own for about 3/4 years. But I did ride other peoples in the meantime. Go to a local hunt/livery yard and offer to help them out, now not only do I have my own two but ride out two other lots a day as well. Once you get established as being a good local person to help exercise horses you will soon be in demand.

Where abouts are you??.

We have a 15.1hh HW cob that could do with exercising, he is traffic proof and can be laid back or a real goer, depending on what you ask of him. He has hunted in the past. We are in Redruth. If you want to chat, PM me.
