I had a beautiful hack in the sun this morning and my pretty reliable outside weather thingy says it's 10.9 degrees currently
We're close to end of January and metcheck has no temps below freezing for the next 2 weeks (just lots of rain - which we need like a whole in the head!) -

I know forecasts can change but I've scraped the car only once this year - so my question, can we really skip winter or is it just going to start in Feb and last til June??

it was february i hit black ice on motorway and spun ending facing wrong way in rush hour. Car a right of as central barrier won so im still dreading what weather will do :(

I also hate the mud. The sole of my mucker boots came apart after being caught in the bloody mud.
Now trying to superglue them. Ha ha.

I'm hoping so! i have a fond photograph that was taken in feb a couple of years ago, the sky is blue and bright and I'm jumping in a t-shirt and there are no leaves on the trees!

although i dispose the wet weather if it stays this mild i will be happy! hate being cold!

Where do you live???
My weather report is saying that I can expect -5 degrees! With possible snow....which I really don't need as I have to be at work by 7am and they won't be gritting the country roads!

So I'd love to skip winter! It can give me all the rain it wants....as long as it does not freeze!

In in Lincs, most hours of sunshine in the UK (so I guess warmer) and supposedly least rainfall (!) but I guess lots of the poor uk is underwater so maybe that's true. weather here is why the county grows so much of the veg - I'm told all the potatoes for walkers come from here!!

I'm naturally pessimistic so I don't think we'll be lucky enough to get away with it this year, we haven't the last couple of years, so I'm still expecting a big freeze anytime up to March!

However, my Mum (who knows everything) thinks we won't get any snow now, so that's given me a bit of hope. It was very springlike this afternoon until the sky turned black in about 30 seconds and it poured and poured.

I would much rather have rain than snow, no matter how sloshy it gets, and believe me, parts of my horse's field are like a mud swamp. And for everyone who says they would rather there is big freeze just remember, it all has to thaw out eventually ;)

That would be nice. If we get any snow I'll go mental. I hate the stuff and can't understand those who do. The only place for snow is on the slopes!!!!

Fed up of trying to push the wheelbarrow through mud. :(
