*Sighs* Just a completly pointless, whiney, childish post! :o

I'm bored of winter, I want it to be sunny, I want horsies not to be fresh and spooky, I don't want to keep putting rugs on and off because of rain, I want dry fields, I want cleaner shelters and I most definetly do not want snow!!!

I'm off to go and hibernate until spring

i'll join you with that! fed up with mud, puddles and rain. The horses being extra stupid and more mud. holey wellies, mud, sleet and mud... oh yeah did i mention the mud? seriously fed up with it and how it gets everywhere and that includes your head, face and down your back if you have a horse with high gaits and a hatred for the stuff so walks extra high stepping flicking mud EVERYWHERE! so yeah mud and all that horrible wet stuff oh and muddy rugs... cant forget those lovely things!

Only about two months until the horses can go out on summer grazing, I can ride more than twice a week at most, they will loose all their hair and my hacking routes won't be closed from flooding! This will be the slowest two months of my life I can guarantee it!

Only a week ago it almost felt like spring - all the rested grass was greening up and things were shooting up in the garden. The fields looked a lot better in the dry sunshine and could appreciate that they are not as trashed as I first thought.....

This will come back, and we often get a freezing spell/period of snow before spring arrives, so could actually be a positive sign!

Also if 'accuweather' is right, we are having around freezing or below until the end of the month which means no mud and fields not getting poached. Then we are into Feb which is a nice short month, then March which really should herald spring!!

Keep positive, we can get through it!!!

Same here! I never want to see mud again. I dont like having to bring in and turn out in the dark. I dont like the people on my yard who keep moving my stuff and Im sick of having to lug sopping wet 6ft rugs about. Dont even get me started on the endless mucking out!
So yes, summer really does need to hurry up and come my way!
Rant over :)

cheer up folks - today I was hacking back to the yard and passed two trees covered in blossom (flowers not just buds!) ... it felt about minus 5 and there was the odd spit of sleet but mother nature says spring is coming :)
