Can you build add-on stables onto existing ones?

I've applied for permission to build 10 stables but would like to get a school put in sooner rather than later so might have to do the stables in two sections as and when finances permit. Is it possible to add on further stables at a later date to the same building so they form a block? Or would this be difficult? Would I need to have all the concrete laid in one go or can I do that in two halves as well?

It all depends... What sort of design are you looking at?

I would think you can do it in two halves. Dont imagine it is any different to adding an extension on to a house.

I would do all the ground works in one go, though, they are so messy...

I had a stable built in my field then had the same company out to add on a feed shed, I will be having another stable added next year (rome was not built in a day. I realize it is on a lot smaller scale than you are planning but I would imagine its the same type of principle.
