Can you change a horse's name?!

Hi all. I know it's supposed to be bad luck, but I wondered if you can change a horse's name on it's passport. If you can, how do you go about it? Thanks.

Yup you absolutely can i changed my boy's name and he is my good luck charm send passport to the company it came from and write the changes you want i had to get nam, freeze mark, and number of his chip think it was roughly £30..x

I think it depends on the passport issuing authority - mine is a gypsy cob society one, and they wouldn't let me even add to the name on the passport as Mason had had it too long (it was Mason and I wanted to add a show name - Four Acres Mason)

I had the same trouble with the gypsy cob society..they are useless! wanted to change it from wurzel to blue, but they wouldnt let it. i just call him blue anyway.
