I tried the beautiful cotswoldSJ comfort bridle I have bought on Lance for the first time lastnight, however Im gutted as its too small, the throatlash is very tight even on the last hole.

I love the bridle and think he really suits it but think iI may have to return it, unless anyone knows how a way of extending throatlashes?

Its a shame you cant get little extender straps!

Have you got a hole punch? There looks like there is room at the end of the throatlash to put in an extra hole, then you should be ok.

It does look very smart on him. I like that colour.

Is the noseband large enough for him?

Umm, you could make more holes maybe? It doesn't look desperately too tight, and you look to have a bit of spare leather still? Nice bridle tho, like the blue!

Well it was tight all the way around his throat, I thought about putting a hole at the end but was worried then of course if it was still too tight I wouldnt be able to return it.

The noseband just fits luckily!

The comfort headpiece also seemed to be pessing a bit into the backs of his ears, but that might need more adjustment.

Hmm, yeah, looking at photos again the browband looks too small really, and also the noseband maybe although it does up ok, the front section is maybe too short so it is pulling the cheek -strps of the noseband forward, if that makes any sense?
Could they make you an XL? I tend to have to create bridles for my arab, as he needs a full size browband, cob size headpieces, cob or even pony cheekpieces depending what bit i'm using, and a cob noseband! Tricky beasts aren't they. Millie has a head like your boy, and she has a lovely bridle, I can check who it is made by later if you like?

Check the end of the noseband strap for the size - possible dad had an off moment and sent a cob

Fits George who is 16.3hh with a long head:

By the way the website is back up!!

Thanks!

I will check when im back up the yard tomorrow, really hope it is as the bridle itself is stunning!

LOL either that or Lance's head is expanding with age!
