As title really. I normally feed my girl hyperdrugs own brand which is 500mg glucosamine and 400mg chondriton. I've got some joint supplements for myself which has a more complex ingrediants list:

Manganese 0.5mg
Glucosamine 296mg
equivalent to
Glucosamine Sulphate 377mg
provided by
Glucosamine Sulphate 2KCl 500mg
Chondritin Sulphate 400mg
Citrus Bioflavonoid Complex 50mg

Is manganese alright to feed to dogs?
It works out a lot cheaper than the dog supplement.
Many thanks in advance

Human grade is purer than dog versions. All good. You might want to try green lipped mussel: it's the only thing that makes a difference with my older dog's arthritis. It's two for one on Simply Supplements on the web.

Used to work with a s/a vet who recommended owners feed human gluco rather than veterinary supplements due to the lower price of the former. He was a damn good vet, and there's no logical reason I know of not to do it.

I feed mine human glucosamine, cortaflex was becoming really expensive the rate I was getting though it so asked my vet and she had no issues with it.
